AEB is limited to a fixed sequence of 3 consecutive shots (standard, underexposed, overexposed). The step can be set up to ±2.0 EV on older DSLR bodies and up to ±3.0 EV on recent mirrorless and high-end PowerShot compacts, for a maximum total coverage of 6.0 EV.
